Houseboat
-WORK IN PROGRESS- An old houseboat has been transformed into a cheerful home on the IJ in Amsterdam. The relationship with the water is an important characteristic of a houseboat. Just like the basement where the concrete construction of the tank is preserved. When the sun shines, the water reflects on the ceiling. The Metallic rust color cast floor fits in nicely with this and sparkles during the day. A friendly and cheerful atmosphere has been created. The birch walls and kitchen along with the calm colors. As a contrast, a number of hard elements have been added, such as the slim steel staircase, the stainless steel worktop, and the steel bookshelves. Together they provide a balance and you feel at home as soon as you open the beautiful door. In collaboration with the client.
